About Us
We Are Clermont Main Street
Clermont Main Street is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit driven by Downtown Clermont business owners, local entrepreneurs, and residents who believe in the power of investing in the city’s historic core. Guided by the nationally recognized Four-Point Approach to revitalization—Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality—the program works to cultivate a thriving, connected, and resilient downtown. Its efforts are made possible through a blend of public funding, grants, memberships, sponsorships, and proceeds from community events that bring Downtown Clermont to life.
Our Mission
To bring Clermont together through active community engagement that revitalizes our historic downtown, celebrates our history, fosters innovation and creativity, and grows our local economy for the benefit and enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
Main Street Programs Explained
-
By being part of the Florida Main Street program, Downtown Clermont gains access to tools, support, and recognition that benefit the entire community:
Creates jobs: A revitalized district attracts new businesses and strengthens the job market.
Saves tax dollars: A strong downtown tax base helps protect and improve existing community investments.
Preserves history: Economic health supports the upkeep and protection of historic buildings.
Builds community pride: Main Street serves as a shared public space that fosters connection and partnership.
-
We utilize the Main Street 4-Point Approach to work towards the revitalization of Clermont. This approach is made up of four committees with the following goals:
Organization: Creating a strong foundation for sustainable revitalization through partnerships, community involvement, and resource development.
Promotion: Positioning downtown as the center of community life and economic activity, while promoting a positive image and unique identity.
Design: Enhancing the physical and visual character of downtown through thoughtful design and preservation.
Economic Vitality: Strengthening and growing the district’s economy through market-based business development strategies.

Discover Downtown Clermont
Downtown Clermont is a Florida Main Street district and part of a network of 1,200 Main Street America communities. And while the city will continue to be the energetic and inclusive Choice of Champions, Downtown Clermont is now unveiling its own unique brand and identity within the city.
We’re excited to introduce the new Downtown Clermont brand which brings back “Gem of the Hills” and unites it with Downtown’s other intrinsic feature, “Lure of the Lake.” It’s symbolic of old versus new…and authentic to the history that makes this destination within Clermont so special. But don’t take our word for it…come on Downtown and see for yourself.
